UTmessan Event
5. and 6. February 2027 in Harpa Conference House
UTmessan is one of the largest IT events in Iceland and is owned by Ský.
The purpose of UTmessan is to highlight the importance of information technology and its effects on individuals, businesses, and Icelandic society. The goal is to see a significant increase in the number of students choosing technical disciplines in universities nationwide, especially in computer science. The event is a collaboration between Ský (The Icelandic Computer Society), the University of Iceland, Reykjavik University, and tech-related companies in Iceland.
The event has two components: an industry conference on Friday and a public exhibition on Saturday.
Friday, February 5th, 8:00 a.m.–6:30 p.m.:
A conference and exhibition for registered IT industry guests, featuring ten tracks for distinct audiences: senior executives and CEOs, CTOs and technical managers, and programmers and other IT professionals. The day ends with the IT awards ceremony.
Saturday, February 6th, 11:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.:
A public exhibition showcasing leading IT companies from Iceland and neighbouring countries, with activities designed to encourage younger generations to explore careers in technology.
