In the aftermath of a ransomware attack
With ransomware attacks becoming increasingly more sophisticated, attackers are no longer just encrypting user files — online backups and system configuration files are also targeted, which if successful makes recovery a difficult and prolonged process. For IT teams already operating under heavy workloads, a successful attack compounds their challenges. This talk will explore why rapid recovery from ransomware can be extremely difficult and examine the factors that make these attacks particularly devastating. We will also discuss how we can improve our current centralised incident response procedures to meet the rapidly escalating challenges of the current cyber threat landscape.
